Ditch is expanding while also promoting from within by announcing the promotion of Senior Producer, Leah Rogers, to Executive Producer, and hiring Jennie Ekstrand as Ditch’s newest Associate Producer. The promotion and new hire were announced by Ditch’s owner Brody Howard.

Rogers’ twelve years in the advertising post industry include ten years at Ditch, taking on roles of Assistant Editor, Producer, Senior Producer, and now Executive Producer. “I’ve been here since the beginning,” says Rogers. “I’m so proud of what we’ve grown over the years, and I’m excited to be leading this next step in Ditch’s evolution, redefining how we’re seen in the market in our second decade.”

Rogers is invested in growing Ditch’s client offerings. In addition to offering creative edit, interactive services, and motion graphics, Ditch partners with MPC for world class real-time remote color grading and VFX, as well as Grey Ghost Music for custom music, music licensing, and audio post, creating a full service destination for client projects. “Our storytelling roots run deep, but we’re much more than creative edit. We’ve built a collective of innovative makers, each with a unique perspective, and they aren’t afraid to experiment to develop the best work possible for our clients,” says Rogers.

Rogers has collaborated with many agencies, helming the post production for national brands such as Cenex, American Family Insurance, Target, Indian Motorcycle, Subaru, Great Clips, Toro, Arby’s, Yoplait, Purina, InterContinental Hotels, and Boston Scientific “Leah is a well respected leader in the local production and post community, because she takes personal pride in getting the job done right, exceeding expectations,” says Howard. “She’s been my right hand for nearly a decade and has worked for years to be the fantastic leader she is now. I see this as an opportunity for her to instill the same Ditch standards and methodology into a new group of producers.”

Ekstrand joins Ditch from Motion504 where she was a producer, and previously from Block & Tackle, a New York creative studio, where she was a Production Manager working on projects for clients National Geographic, SYFY, FX, and ESPN. Ekstrand brings experience as a producer for motion projects.

“With her background in motion graphics and animation, Jennie is a perfect fit to help grow that part of our business, and further expand our creative services.” says Howard. Ekstrand has jumped right into work at Ditch, serving as Associate Post Producer on spots for Cenex, Pentair, Polaris Slingshot, Minnesota Lottery, Cub Cadet, and 3M. Adds Rogers, “Jennie is insightful, super detail-oriented and organized. Our clients immediately trusted her to handle projects flawlessly. It’s great to have her on board.”

Ditch is an advertising post-production and creative digital company located in the Warehouse District in downtown Minneapolis.
